1955 Vintage Sayco Doll - Walker, Voice Box, Tagged, Mint Cond. in Sun Lakes, AZ

This is an All Original 1955 Sayco Bride walker doll. She stands 20? tall, has a hard plastic body with a soft vinyl head with rooted blonde saran hair in its original ?pre-wave? set and, beautiful blue pinwheel sleep eyes. Her detailing is exquisite, her facial features, beautifully formed ears and, right down to the lines and dimples on her hands and fingers. You rarely find this kind of detail anymore even in the most expensive dolls. She is marked Sayco on her neck. If you ever do want to wash the hair, the pre-set waves will remain. Her wedding gown is also exceptionally gorgeous and consists of a layer of lace, underneath that a layer of satin and underneath that, a crisp linen crinoline. She wears her original panties and shoes. The walker mechanism works perfectly. Attached to her wrist is the original Sayco hangtag with a ribbon that says ?Walker Doll?. It has no tears or folds and is also in excellent condition. The voice box is the only thing that isn?t perfect. It works intermittently. Sometimes, she cries right away and sometimes, you have to turn her over a few times to get her to cry. Nevertheless, she cries. Perhaps it is because she has rarely been touched and just needs some practice. Sayco was a maker of exceptional dolls in the 50s. This bride doll is no exception. She is beautiful and in immaculate condition. She remained brand new, in the box by the first owner until I purchased her in May 2006. I have displayed her since then. She still remains in ?like new? condition and has never been played with. She is in the best condition of all of my vintage and antique dolls. THE ORIGINAL BOX IS INCLUDED. It came to me a bit ratty. My guess is that it was moved numerous times over the years by the prior owner but, it never affected the doll. I have not taken a picture of it but have a photograph of it in Word format and will send it to you via email if you wish. It is beige and blue and says ?Sayco?. She comes from non-smoking homes and has no odors. A sacrifice at $80 and a great investment.
